Whoohoo! Vacation!

...and I'm bored out of my freakin' mind! Argh! I can't seem to win. LOL. So yes, I survived the semester and I managed to get all A's. Like there was any doubt in that respect.

The last month of the semester almost did me in though. The pathetic bursting-out-into-tears-in-my-professor's-office along with a near nervous breakdown was...um...well...pathetic. I tend to get myself worked up into a frenzy, trying to get everything done perfectly. That's the problem with being a straight-A student: I want the A every single time and nothing I ever do is good enough for me. If it wasn't for Francis convincing me that I would get an A no matter what in that last bit, I don't know what would've happened. My depression was waiting in the wings to completely roll over me. Luckily that didn't happen and I got everything done.

If you're interested, here are the links to my 2D animation final. It's a music video to the Duran Duran song "What Happens Tomorrow." That's me lip-sync'ing the song. Fair warning: there are some disturbing images in there about 9/11 and the Iraqi war, and my bleeding heart liberalism pours out throughout the whole thing. :)

Low Res version for those of you with pathetic dial-ups

So what am I doing on my vacation so far? Nothing constructive. I've spent the past week and a half catching up on my sleeping, reading, and playing WoW. The multimedia lab is reopening for the summer as of tomorrow so I'm hoping to do some animation stuff to keep me busy a couple of days a week.

On the other days, I'm hoping to finally get some unpacking done. Yes, the Queen of Procrastination has finally decided that 15 months of living out of boxes (and still not having full use of our living room) is about to end. Pathetic, I know, but I despise unpacking (even more than packing) and it's so bad that I've had no clue where to start. Now I have a simple plan that will hopefully work. Honestly, since it has been so long I'm tempted just to throw everything in the boxes out, but there's about $1,000 worth of scrapbooking and other craft supplies that I plan on using in those boxes. And hopefully, I'll actually get some scrapbooking done this summer. GASP! I'm only like four years behind in my scrapbooking. I do miss it terribly.

Speaking of scrapbooking, I've got a focus group this afternoon for scrapbookers. One of those things where they pay you to give them your opinion on stuff. Nice easy cash. However, they want me to bring one of my scrapbooks so I better go dig one out before I forget....
