Mother Nature is On Drugs...

That's the only way to explain the weather that has been going on. It was bad enough with all the hurricanes wreaking havoc in the south, but now the northeast finally finished a eight-day deluge. It got so bad that I was waiting for an ark to park itself outside my house!

Luckily, I wasn't affected by the rain--with the exception of some bad depression--since most of my town is up on a hill. The other towns nearby, on the other hand, weren't so lucky. According to the NY NBC affliate:

Rainfall totals for the eight-day period were impressive: 16.41 inches in Ramsey, 15.06 inches in Pompton Plains, 12.75 inches in Paramus.

Pompton Plains is the next town over to give you some idea of how bad it was. If you go to the link for the original article, there are a couple of links to pictures to show you parts of the towns that were flooded. Makes me glad I live on a hill.
