Slightly Productive
Well, kind of sort of. This week I'm supposed to get out of vacation mode and back into work mode. Technically the semester doesn't start until the 18th, but I've got syllabi to write (yes, that is the plural for syllabus. I looked it up.), lessons to be prepped, and all the fun stuff that comes with being a teacher.
How am I doing so far? Well, the syllabi are written and the webpages for the classes are up, though neither of them were all that difficult. I guess that's better than nothing. I really should start prepping at least my first two weeks of lessons before the surgery but honestly I can't get into it. My foot is hurting and its hard to keep my mind focused on the origins of western civilization.
So what am I doing instead? Cleaning. Ya, like that's going to do a world of good for my foot. I'm finally getting around to cleaning up my office. At the very least I need to make it crutch-friendly because I'll be spending a lot of time in here after the surgery whether or not I like it. Of course I'm finding all this nasty stuff in my office, like petrified french fries. That's what I get for eating in my office. What's worse? A packet of BBQ sauce exploded under some papers under my chair. If someone can give me a good tip on how to get BBQ sauce out of my carpet, I would appreciate it. :P
The Fuzzies have been helping me clean, of course. Dharma made sure that all those papers I put in a nice neat pile are back in their proper place on the floor. *sigh* And Kukai is doing his bit by eating the corners of all the papers. And people wonder why I hate cleaning. LOL.
