Super Duper Tuesday
For a nice change, NJ's primaries are early enough in the race that our choice may actually matter. The primaries used to be in June but thankfully our legislatures got smart and moved them up to Super Tuesday.
Yes, I will be voting. No, I still have no clue who I'm voting for. I'm not thrilled with any of the candidates in either party.
I'm a democrat so I will be voting in the democratic primary. According to my sample ballot, I have six choices:
I know: STEPHEN COLBERT!
(hell, he can't do any worse than our current president)

I'm a democrat so I will be voting in the democratic primary. According to my sample ballot, I have six choices:
- Joe Biden - Who? Oh ya, the guy with the Plan for Iraq. Nice idea Joe, but what else do you stand for? Oh wait, you're FOR the Patriot Act? You want to build a wall on our border to Mexico? Never mind.
- Dennis Kucinich - He tried to impeach Cheney which is a brownie point in my book. Oh wait, he what? Damn. Bastard dropped out of the race.
- John Edwards - The one candidate I did like and he too dropped out of the race. Poo.
- Hillary Clinton - How I hate thee. Let me count the ways... Seriously, I don't trust her. I don't like the way she got to where she is (moving to NY to grab the senate seat) and everything about the campaign just feels too staged. It's like someone behind her is going "OK, 94% of respondents said they like it when candidates smile, so smile." I don't want that. I want a president who seems somewhat real. There are other reasons why I don't like her but I could write a book about it. No way in hell I'm voting for her.
- Barack Obama - He's winning me over since he seems like the kind of guy who would actually get everybody working together. However, I don't know if he has enough experience. Also, every once in a while his temper comes out and that scares me a bit, especially since the president gets the key to the big nuclear bombs.
- Bill Richardson - I watched this guy in the New Hampshire primaries and he was just overwhelmed. No wonder he dropped out.

After I got there it was another 10 minutes before the machine techs. got the kinks out of the machine!
I guess that NY will be heading for electronic voting ... that will be "interesting" in November ;)
And in case you're wonder who I voted for... think no more.
I voted for Obama. I like him.
Hades will have a large ice-skating rink before I would even think of voting for Hillary.
And remember...
Vote!!

Even though he isn't very conservative. (OK, to my mind even James Dobson is a bit liberal...)
